This show is q uite possibly the biggest waste of videotape, electricity, and RF bandwi dth in the 70+ ye ar history o f telev ision. It's nothing but 60 minutes of so me of t he worst bi le that can c ome out o f human beings, male or female. Basicall y, it's nothing bu t pure bitchy , catty, c*nty, vile harpiness among the contestants, judge s, and the fashionistas (or sho uld I say fas hionazis). Typically a lot of insulti ng, backbiti ng, and bit chy, unneces sarily a nal-retentive criticism. The thing t hat gets me about the show is how much the judges and fas hionazis (and the pretentious & ; shallow fashion industry in genera l) nit- pick again st the equally bitchy contest ants about lit tle, petty, trivial, frivolous, anal-retentive thi ngs about the ir appearance, perso nality, etc. Thin gs that the *REAL* people in this world (which th e fashion industry lacks, thankfully) woul dn' ;t give rat' s ass number 1 about. (Myself inc luded.) Crap like: & quot;Oh , your left eyebrow is a y octomet er off center. That i sn't gon na fly, and nobody wi ll take you seriously in this industry because of it !" Or, &quo t;You're breath ing wrong. Good lu ck with w inning this co mpetition.&q uot; I'm jus t kidding here, but they usually end up saying things almost exactly like this on this show. If get ting into the fashion industry is this hard, painful, bit chy, insulti ng, ni t-picky , catty, backstabbing, and anal-retentive as this sho w tries to portray, than than k th e good Lord that He made me all fat, b alding, hai ry, and dumpy-frumpy-dowdy -frowsy-geeky-looki n', bec ause I would never want to b e required to have the caustic bitchiness and anal, pre tentious attitude o f any model or fashi onazi (or any fa shion industry worker), namely the peop le o n this show . And Janice Dickinson, mercy, do not get me started on her ... This show needs to die.
