Autumn 20 15. Two Spanish lifeguards, Oscar and Gera rd, travel to the Greek island of L esbos after seeing t he heart-wre nching p hotogra ph of a little boy drow ned in the Mediterr anean Se a. They arrive to discover a shocking reality: thou sands of peop le risking their lives every day by t rying to c ross t he sea in th e mos t precarious of vessels, fleeing f rom armed conflicts and other miseries in their home countries.
