Wieldin g the same wit a nd w isdom, animation and gleefu l ne rdery as its predecessors, this film jour neys fr om Aristotle to Al ice in Wonderland, sci- fi to super computers to tell t he fascinating story of the quest for certainty and the f undamentals of sound reasoning itself. Da ve Cliff, professor of computer science and engin eering at Bristol University, is no ab stract theoreti cian. 15 years ago he comb ined logic and a bit of maths t o write one of the first computer programs to outperform humans at trading stocks and share s. Giving away t he so ftware for free, he s ays, was n ot his mos t logical move... With the help of 25 seven-year-olds, Profe ssor Cliff c reates, for the first t ime ever, a compute r made entirely of childre n, runn ing on nothing but logic. We also meet the world's braini est whizz-k ids, competing at the International Olympiad of Informatics in Brisbane , Australia.
